#SOLC18 4/31: This is Me! Bio Poem

As I have been gathering writing ideas for my inaugural launch into the March Slice of Life Challenge, one idea I have seen presented in different forms has been an introductory post. With so many Slicers in this community, taking one post early in the month is a great way to meet & connect with one another. I have decided to try my own twist on a bio poem, inspired by a new friend, Christie @ Wondering & Wandering. Thanks for the inspiration, Christie.

Multitasker, organizer, hunter/gatherer, procrastinator.

Wife to Randy; Mom to Paisley, Erica, Grace & Annie; Gigi to Tayvin

Who enjoys basking on the beach far more than jumping in the cold lake.

Who teaches kindergarten in the elementary school she attended as a child.

Who accomplished two amazing, miraculous, beautiful (planned) home births.

Who dreams of watching her daughters give birth.

Who wishes she could draw effortlessly.

Who fears losing another parent.

Who believes that one of the most important things parents can do is read to their children every.single.day.

Have you tried a bio poem? If you have, please share the link to your post below so we can connect! If you haven’t, I highly encourage you to give it a try on a future post, then please return here and share the link. I love meeting new friends in the Slicing Community.

  1. Love the Bio Poem idea. Will definitely try it out. I can connect to the basking in the sun on the beach instead of jumping into cold water. I just would just add a book to the beach setting and it would be any kind of cold water for me. Thanks for sharing an idea you saw others doing.

Great way to get to know others in this community. Haven’t tried this format, but it’s a good one to keep on my list of formats to try. Thanks for sharing.

I love slices like this! You revealed so much about yourself in such a short amount of text! Teaching kindergarten in the school you attended in a child??!!!! Two planned home births! Wow!
